SUMMER GRASS LEAGUE INFO AND RULES

Thank you very much for your interest and support in the 2021 Rage Summer Grass League!  We are looking forward to the warm weather and getting out to play some volleyball!

Captain's meeting: 

We will have a captain's meeting 10 minutes before play starts on the first night of play and on the last night of play before the tournament and will be going over rules and structure of play.

Schedule:

Starting this Monday- June 7th with 2-3 matches per night

Youth league starts at 6pm

Women's league starts at 7:15pm

Format/Expectations:

7-weeks total with 6 weeks of regular season, final week is tournament

(June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and July 12th, 19th with tournament on July 26th)

Please plan to have a full team each week with substitutes as necessary; the expectation will be that teams are not allowed to forfeit.

Bathrooms available on location 

Spectators should bring their own chairs and personal items

Water and Gatorade will be available for purchase on site

Cancellations due to weather: 

All rescheduled games will be TBA.

Substitutes:

All subs will need to sign a waiver and release form (under 18 must have parent signature).

Rules: 

-teams will referee their own games, which means players will call their own faults

-servers will call scores out before each serve 

-teams report scores after each game

-rally scoring

-let serve allowed

-players must stay in rotation throughout the game, including serving

-toss per serve for women's is 1 and for youth is 2

-no marked center line, if crossed without interference then play continues, fault with interference

-contact with the net is a fault

-setting a ball across the net is allowed if your shoulders are squared to the net and both feet planted on the ground

-teams are allowed one time-out per match

-open-hand tipping is not allowed

-setting is not allowed for serve receive

-at the first hit of the team, the ball may contact various parts of the body consecutively, provided that the contacts occur during one action

-players may pursue a ball on their side of the court only and not into any other courts

-all final calls and discrepancies will be decided by the site director according to judgement and based on rules from FIVB

Razor City Rage Volleyball Club is the newest youth volleyball club to establish itself in Gillette, Wyoming.  Rage Volleyball is focused on young athletes that have a passion for volleyball, are looking to improve their skills, and compete against elite competition.  We pride ourselves on hiring Gillette's best coaches to give our players meaningful instruction and opportunity.

Our club is run with integrity and we strive to give every player a fair opportunity to grow and succeed.  To ensure players are given a fair opportunity, athletes are assessed by numerous coaches and placed on appropriate teams based on skill level, work ethic, and coachability.   Parent requests for their kids to be put on teams with their friends are not permitted.
